Apple has finally launched its first-ever over-ear headphone, the Apple AirPods Max. The just-launched AirPods Max headphones join other recent newcomers from Apple in 2020, including a suite of iPhone 12 models, a new iPad Air, a new SmartWatch, a new iMac, and more. Custom Acoustic Design

From the canopy to the ear cushions, every part of AirPods Max is carefully crafted to provide exceptional acoustic performance for each user. AirPods Max sports knit mesh canopy, spanning the headband, that is made to distribute weight and reduce on-head pressure. The stainless steel headband frame provides strength, flexibility, and comfort for a wide variety of head shapes and sizes.
The telescopic headband arms smoothly extend and stay in place to maintain the desired fit.

Breakthrough Listening Experience

AirPods Max features a 40-mm Apple-designed dynamic driver that provides rich, deep bass, accurate mid-range, and crisp, clean high-frequency extension so that every note can be heard perfectly.

Adaptive EQ

According to Apple, the AirPods Max uses ‘Adaptive EQ’ to adjust the sound to the fit and seal of the ear cushions by measuring the sound signal delivered to a user and adjusting the low and mid-frequencies in real-time — bringing rich audio that captures every detail.

Active Noise Cancellation & Transparency Mode

The Apple AirPods Max headphones have a total of nine microphones, eight of which also assist the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) function to block noise from all directions. It has a single-button press Transparency mode similar to what Apple’s true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones, the AirPods Pro, also feature. The wireless headphones connect using Bluetooth v5.

Spatial Audio

Like AirPods, the AirPods Max uses spatial audio with dynamic head tracking to place sounds virtually anywhere in space — delivering a theatre-like experience for content recorded in 5.1, 7.1, and Dolby Atmos.

Battery and Performance

The AirPods Max promises up to 20 hours of listening time on a single charge with Active Noise Cancellation, or Transparency mode enabled. You’ll also find up to 20 hours of movie playback on a single charge with spatial audio turned on and up to 20 hours of talk time on a single charge. It takes just five minutes of charge time to add 90 minutes of listening time with Fast Charging.

Automatic Switching

It allows users to seamlessly move sound between iPhone, iPad, and Mac. When playing music on Mac, users can easily take a call on iPhone and AirPods Max will automatically switch over.

Audio Sharing

It is possible to easily share an audio stream between two sets of AirPods on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV 4K. Simply bring AirPods Max near the device and connect with a single tap.

Siri

These capabilities include the ability to play music, make phone calls, control the volume, get directions, and more. Siri can also read incoming messages as they arrive with Announce Messages with Siri.

Apple Airpods Max Works with all iPhone’s starting from iPhone 8 or later and iPod touch (7th generation) with the latest version of iOS; 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2nd generation or later), 11-inch iPad Pro, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation or later), iPad Air (3rd and 4th generation) and iPad mini (5th generation) with the latest version of iPadOS; and Apple TV with the latest version of tvOS.
