They did it again. The Poco M3 phone is a mixture of decent performance, a large FullHD+ IPS display, a 48MPx camera, a giant 6000mAh battery, playful colors and at the same time modern features that you know from other and more expensive Xiaomi phones. The price/performance ratio is not a mistake. It no longer means that for little money you just have to get an old microUSB or some dusty HD display. That’s it. Poco M3 is here for you.
Camera – more than you expect
Even in cheaper models we can find a triple rear camera. The main 48MPx sensor with six-cell optics and f/1.79 aperture captures even fine details, which you can then zoom in on the display thanks to the solid resolution. The 2MPx macro camera is useful when shooting very close subjects when you need to capture a specific detail. The 2MPx depth sensor helps the main camera take portraits.
There is the ability to record 1080p or 720p video at 30fps, or time-lapse video as well.

More fun than you expect
6,53″ IPS FullHD+ screen
The 6.53″ display offers IPS technology that means more vivid colors as well as better viewing angles and Full HD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. Until recently, only HD resolution was the standard in this price category of phones. The screen even gets TÜV Rheinland® certification – low blue light, protecting your eyesight and adding Reading Mode 2.0 and color temperature settings.
The aspect ratio is 19.5:9 and fills more than 90% of the front of the phone. The frames are thus minimal to the conditions of the class. The display is protected by a durable Gorilla Glass 3 glass.
Stereo speakers
The phone boasts stereo speakers, the main speaker on the bottom of the phone and the phone speaker serve as a secondary. The manufacturer has also received Hi-Res Audio certification.
Battery more than you expect
Until recently, 5000mAh was considered something incredible. If you found models on the market with an even larger battery, you could hammer nails straight with such a paddle. And you know what? Poco M3 offers a straight 6000mAh battery! The dimensions do not deviate in any way, the thickness still fits below 10mm and the weight below 200g.
And what can such a flashlight do? 583 hours of standby time (24 days!), 40 hours of continuous calling, 196 hours of continuous music listening (8 days), or 17 hours of continuous video watching.
You won’t even charge it all day. Via the USB-C port, you can charge the phone at a speed of up to 18W, which is a bit and a half to full charge. And in the package you get such a fast charger.
Performance – better than you expect
The eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor is no museum piece. This is a current model, made with 11nm technology, running at frequencies up to 2.0GHz and equipped with the third generation AI Engine, which helps performance in AI calculations.
LPDDR4X 4GB RAM allows several applications or games to run simultaneously. The 128GB variant is equipped with UFS 2.2 storage, offering fast read speeds and thus shortening the time for opening applications. The model with 64GB of storage is equipped with slightly slower UFS 2.1.
Storage can be further expanded with microSD memory cards up to 512GB. And not at the expense of Dual SIM support! The phone has a triple slot, you can use both SIM and memory card at the same time.
